The national park covers Thy´s western coast line by the North Sea. The characteristic and unspoiled dune heaths have been created by the sea, the wind, the salt and the sand. Large plantations and some of Denmark´s cleanest lakes complete the picture of Denmark´s largest wilderness. A perfect place for plants, birds, animals and humans who enjoy a lot of space, high skies and lots of fresh air. Thisted Bryghus is the local brewery, however their beer is known all over the country. Every Wednesday in weeks 27-33 (both weeks included) and in week 42 a guided tour of the brewery is possible. Tickets and information at visitthy.dk

Discover Northern Europe's largest fortifications from the 2nd World War. In the large museum bunker on 3000 sq m several of the rooms have been restored to their original appearance, so you can see how the soldiers lived. Museum Center Hanstholm also holds exhibitions including the Atlantic Wall's history and its weapons. The area is of course a peaceful natural area now, where you can enjoy your picnic.

Klitmøller has always been popular, but is now world famous! Because of its fine surfing opportunities, Klitmøller is also known as Cold Hawaii and is considered to be a surfers' paradise. Klitmøller is known as one of Europe's best surf spots. Wind and wave conditions make the area absolutely perfect. 

Private art museum with a large collection of paintings and drawings by Kirsten Kjær (1893-1985). Since the museum's modest beginnings, it has developed into a working arts center with courses, concerts and chamber music days. The museum shows changing exhibitions of Danish and foreign artists as well as more or less permanent exhibitions of the museums house artists. In the cafeteria of the museum you can but coffee, tea and cakes.

Go to Jesperhus Blomsterpark (Flowerpark) and enjoy thousands of different flowers, perennials, cacti and succulents in the 8 ha . park, which also offers indoor and outdoor play area for all ages, Jungle Zoo and 4D cinema. 

Denmark's largest amusement- and waterpark. The whole area covers the same as 55 football fields and guarantees experiences for all ages. There are activities for those who just want to enjoy the flowers and being with family and wild daredevils who can not get enough of the thrill of the fast and high slides.
